Short Description of Project
The Virgin Islands Studies Collective, or VISCO for short, is "a Black feminist collective of artists, scholars, and activists, working within the archives to reimagine Caribbean freedom."
ECDS recreated VISCO's website and will facilitate VISCO's Virtual Museum and Archive of Decolonial Thought, Practice and Pedagogy (MAPP). The MAPP will include information on 10 items from the Virgin Islands along with lesson plans created by Emory and Clark Atlanta graduate students who took Tiphanie Yanique's decolonial pedagogy seminar during Fall 2024.
